Effective May 1, 2010, the new rule permits businesses to advertise using terms like "Happy Hour," "Ladies Night," "Tightwad Tuesdays," "Thirsty Thursdays," and other clever wordplay to draw patrons into their premises for food and drink. The big difference is that these enticements are now allowed off-premises on everything from the proprietor’s shingle to his web site.
