Food Handler Training & Certification

ORLA is one of the largest providers of online food handler training in the state of Oregon and developed the first online training with video and interactive quizzes to help with retention. Approved by the Oregon Health Authority, this state-mandated training can be satisfied by taking ORLA's online course or the by-mail packet. Online Course: Training That Stays With You

Easy to follow, this interactive training program provides the curriculum and training to help your staff serve the public safely and minimize risk to your business. There’s no proctor requirement and you can print your own certificate after successfully completing the exam, and reprint it anytime for no charge. Certification costs only $9 and is valid statewide for three years from the date you pass the exam.

Employers: Track Your Employees' Training

A well-trained, safe staff is key to the health of your business, so we want to help you keep tabs on your employees’ training. It’s easy to set up a company account; you can register one store location or several, and manage training activity by store location. We also offer flexible payment options to pre-purchase courses for your staff or have employees pay for their online training individually.

Printed Course & Certification (By Mail)

This by-mail training packet includes a food safety manual and test materials. Available in English or Spanish, you can purchase one or multiple packets for your employees. An Oregon Food Handler Certificate will be mailed upon passing the exam (note: re-test available at no charge if employee does not pass exam). Proctor NOT required.
