ServSafe® Food Protection Manager Certification
ORLA's ServSafe® manager training provides in-depth training, blending the latest FDA Food Code, food safety research and years of food sanitation training experience. Managers learn to implement essential food safety practices and create a culture of food safety.
ServSafe® training meets the "Demonstration of Knowledge" and "Person in Charge" requirements of the Oregon Food Code. This training also shows managers how to protect against foodborne illness outbreaks, HACCP, food safety regulations and more. Certification is valid statewide for 5 years and satisfies the food handler requirement.
Register Online or By Mail
You can now register online by clicking one of the class dates from the list to the right. Or if you prefer, download a ServSafe® Registration form
and fax to the with a credit card number or mail in with a check. You must submit payment to be registered.
Pre-study of the ServSafe® 6th Edition Manager book is required. Payment must be received 7 business days prior to class for materials to be mailed. Note: You must bring your book and confirmation sheet to class. If you did not receive one, contact ORLA at 971.224.1503.
If you need special accommodations in order to attend a class and/or
take the exam, please notify ORLA at least one week in advance of the
class you are attending. ORLA attempts to provide equal access to
individuals with disabilities.
Classroom training is $139 per person ($109 for ORLA members) and includes training, exam, certification and the ServSafe® Manager book. If you register online to take a class, please choose appropriate rate based on your ORLA membership. ORLA may charge your credit card the difference if there's a discrepancy.

Print Your Own eCertificates
Complimentary e-Certificates for ServSafe are now available as soon as exams are graded. The eCertificates will continue to fulfill American National Standards Institute (ANSI) requirements for the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification, and provide both students and proctors instant access to certificates once exams have been graded. Registrant may substitute another employee for an online course/exam but must contact ORLA. A full refund may be granted for classroom training up to 7 business days prior to class if book is returned unopened. No refunds given for cancellations less than 7 days prior to class. Registrant may reschedule for a later class date, or transfer registration (with book) to another person. No refund allowed for the online course and exam.
Individual may retake the print-based exam and register for a future class date for a fee of $38 ($32 for ORLA members) which includes cost of exam. For details contact Training@OregonRLA.org or call 866.679.6733.
